Relocation Survey in Quezon City

Find and re-mark the exact corners of your titled lot.

What is a relocation survey?

A relocation survey re-establishes the corners of a lot using the technical description on its title. The geodetic engineer measures the boundaries on the ground and sets or re-sets concrete boundary markers (mohon) so you know where your property actually starts and ends.

It is the standard first step before fencing, building, selling, or settling an argument with a neighbor.

When do you need it?

  • You are about to build a fence or house and want to be sure of the boundary.
  • The old mohon are missing, buried, or look moved.
  • You are buying a lot and want to see it matches the title.
  • A neighbor says your fence or wall is on their land.
  • You inherited a lot and have never seen its corners.

Documents needed

  • Copy of the title (TCT), preferably a certified true copy from the Registry of Deeds
  • Latest tax declaration and real property tax receipt
  • Vicinity map or address and landmarks
  • Valid ID of the owner (and an authorization or SPA if a representative is applying)
  • Previous survey plan or blueprint, if you have one

The process

  1. Free consultation and document check
  2. Plotting of the technical description in the office
  3. Field survey and setting of boundary markers
  4. Computation and drafting of the relocation plan
  5. Release of the signed and sealed plan and a short walk-through of the corners

How long does it take?

Typically 3 to 10 working days from document check to release, depending on lot size, access, and how many old markers can still be found.

How much does it cost?

The price depends on your lot. Send us your title and we will give you a clear quote before any field work.

What affects the cost

  • Lot size and shape
  • Number of corners and how many original markers still exist
  • Access and obstructions (fences, structures, vegetation)
  • Whether prior survey records need to be requested
  • Whether you need a sealed plan for legal use

Common questions

Is a relocation survey the same as a verification survey?

No. A relocation survey marks the corners on the ground. A verification survey checks whether the title and the lot on the ground actually match. See our guide on the difference.

Do I need one if my lot is already fenced?

Yes, if you are not sure the fence follows the title. Many disputes start with a fence built on assumption. Ang mura ng pag-check bago mag-bakod kumpara sa pagpapagiba.
